Welcome Mattie, our new Trans Resource and Referral Guide Project Coordinator! Over the next year, Mattie will work on updating the resource guide and getting the word out about it to ensure that the trans community has access to accurate local resources created ‘by and for’ them and to improve the community safety net in King County for trans people, their families, and communities.
Mattie brings over a decade of experience building trans-centered, community-driven health and social service systems across Washington State.
A survivor of gender-based violence, Mattie’s lived experience is central to their approach in trans health and advocacy. Their work is grounded in the belief that healing and access are inseparable; that safety, affirmation, and care are collective responsibilities, not individual privileges.
Mattie is deeply invested in building infrastructures of care that affirm, protect, and sustain trans lives, especially in the face of increasing political hostility and resource scarcity.

Alisha is a Master of Social Work student at the University of Washington on the Community-Centered Integrative Practice track. With six years of direct service experience supporting the houseless community, she has developed a deep commitment to trauma-informed and strengths-based care.
Jamila was born and raised in Baluchistan, Pakistan. Jamila is currently a graduate student in Social Work at the University of Washington. She is completing her MSW with the University of Washington and has strong interest in Advocacy, human rights, Social Justice, and Mental Health Services. Jamila has previously worked in Hospital settings as a coordinator and social work Assistant.
