Meet Frances Lee! They are the new project coordinator for the 2017 King County Trans Resource and Referral Guide. Frances moved to Seattle from sunny Austin 2 years ago, where they lived for 11 years. Since moving here, they have been deeply invested in queer/trans communities of color, and also organize with Chinese American leftist group PARISOL. They most recently worked as a software tester in the tech industry, and also have skills in project management, web/visual design, and professional baking. They are thrilled to coordinate the development of the new Trans Resource and Referral Guide, not only because it is a critical and widely-used resource in their community, but also because they are connecting and supporting amazing trans community leaders. Frances loves generating new ideas at the intersections of diverse disciplines and fields. They are currently pursuing their masters in Cultural Studies at UW Bothell, with an emphasis on post-capitalism and art activism.
