Jorge Baron, our keynote speaker at the 9th Annual Celebration for Change

On June 9th, 125 allies and advocates for gender equity came together to celebrate the work of the Coalition. The view from the 8th floor of the Pacific Tower was stunning, and those attending had a good time sampling appetizers prepared by FareStart and chatting with friends and colleagues. “The Coalition is incredibly important in making sure there are resources are available to support survivors,” stated Jorge Báron of Northwest Immigrant Rights Project in his keynote speech. Other speakers included Executive Director Merril Cousin and attorney Kara Masters, Coalition Board Chair, as well as Leslie Savina of NW Justice Project. This annual event is vitally important to the overall health of the Coalition.

Over 90 community members along with our sponsors raised over $45,000.
