KCRHA’s Coordinated Entry Assessor Training

What: King County Regional Homelessness Authority is hosting a training to access the Coordinated Entry System for users serving Gender-Based Violence survivors. This training will allow you to become a Coordinated Entry Assessor. You will be able to enroll your clients into the Coordinated Entry System and navigate them to housing stability. This training is specific to Victim Service Providers (VSPs): there will be a focus on enrolling de-identified clients. Please note the Prerequisites listed below.

PREREQUISITES:

1. If you do not already have an HMIS user account, your agency’s HMIS lead will need to request user access from Bitfocus (the host of HMIS), and you will need to complete the appropriate HMIS trainingDon’t know who your agency’s HMIS Lead is? Ask Hannah at hannah@endgv.org.

2. You’re ready to take this training!

Who: Advocates and case managers functioning as Victim Service Providers at agencies with HMIS accounts who would like to

  • Serve as the initial contact point for the Coordinated Entry System and communicating eligibility for Coordinated Entry.
  • Explore resources such as diversion or problem solving, employment, and education.
  • Enroll households into the Coordinated Entry System Program and administer the Coordinated Entry Housing Triage Tool (HTT).
  • Communicate with households about next steps and availability of other resources.

Next Steps: Upon completing the training requirements,

1. Review the CE Assessor Manual.

2. Your Agency’s CE Trainer will email Bitfocus the New Assessor Request Form. If your agency does not have a CE trainer you can request from Bitfocus to become the CE Trainer.

3. BitFocus will send confirmation to both the Trainer and Assessor (you).

This training is specialized for Victim Service Providers working in KCRHA’s Coordinated Entry System: this training is catered towards service providers who will be entering de-identified clients. This training will be recorded.
