NNEDV’s Building with Care: Protecting Privacy and Promoting Safety Through Survivor-Centered Housing Practices

September 22 at 10:30 am  –  12:00 pm

The National Network to End Domestic Violence is hosting Building Safe Homes: Creating Affordable Housing for Survivors, a five-part webinar series.

Survivors deserve more than a temporary place to stay. While emergency shelter remains a critical lifeline, long-term safety and stability often depend on access to affordable and permanent housing. This webinar series explores how communities can strengthen partnerships, leverage housing resources, and advance survivor-centered strategies that help survivors move beyond crisis toward long-term stability.

Designed for domestic violence coalitions, victim service providers, housing partners, and other allied professionals, the series will feature practical strategies, promising practices, and real-world examples from across the country. Whether you’re just beginning to explore affordable housing opportunities or are looking to strengthen existing partnerships, we hope you’ll join us.

The webinar series will be held on the following dates:

August 18, 2026 | Preparing the Ground: Understanding the Need for Affordable and Permanent Housing for Survivors

September 1, 2026 | Laying the Foundation: Developing and Preserving Affordable Housing for Survivors

September 22, 2026 | Building with Care: Protecting Privacy and Promoting Safety Through Survivor-Centered Housing Practices

October 20, 2026 | Strengthening the Structure: Learning from Survivor-Centered Housing Models

November 10, 2026 | Opening the Doors: Sustaining Partnerships and Expanding Housing Opportunities for Survivors
