SUMMARY:Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) Application Assistant Certification Training
DESCRIPTION:The Washington Address Confidentiality Program (ACP) offers survivors of domestic violence\, sexual assault\, stalking\, or trafficking\, and Criminal Justice Affiliates\, Election Officials\, and Protected Health Care Workers who are a target for threats or harassment\, a substitute mailing address to receive first class mail. The address is accepted by Washington state\, county\, and city government agencies in lieu of a residential address for creating records. \n\n\n\nACP is designed to help people who fear for their safety maintain a confidential address. Passed by legislature in 1991\, ACP is used as part of an overall safety plan to prevent perpetrators from locating participants through public records such as driver licenses\, voter registries and marriage records. \n\n\n\nApplication Assistant Eligibility \n\n\n\nBy law\, only certain people are eligible to be an ACP Application Assistant. They must be an employee of a non-profit program or a state\, county\, or other local agency. Additionally\, it must be a part of their job to provide advocacy\, counseling\, referral\, or shelter services to victims of domestic violence\, sexual assault\, stalking\, or trafficking.

DESCRIPTION:CEGV is teaming up with Dr. Leticia Nieto for a multi-part series to add tools to your toolkit to handle the myriad challenges and complexities of advocacy.  \n\n\n\nOur work in the gender-based violence movement is full of nuance and complexity. The daily challenges and joys are set against a backdrop of systems of oppression and intersect in countless ways with other social justice issues. In short\, this work is not easy. \n\n\n\nJoin us for series of workshops with Dr. Leticia Nieto to find ways to better support yourself as advocate and in turn\, deepen your advocacy skills to better support survivors. Together we will explore these questions: \n\n\n\n\nHow can we better incorporate an anti-oppression lens in our advocacy practices?\n\n\n\nWhat are the ways to promote healing and liberation within our team and organizations?\n\n\n\n\nFor this session\, Dr. Nieto will kick things off with a brief overview of a liberation model/framework. Building on that foundation\, participants will move into a facilitated dialogue about how to weave the framework into their work and everyday lives. SUMMARY:2025 National Conference on Ending Homelessness
DESCRIPTION:The 2025 National Conference on Ending Homelessness will bring together service providers\, system leaders\, advocates\, and people with lived experience of homelessness to learn from each other\, discuss best practices\, and share new innovations in the field. In addition to regular workshops\, the conference will offer a variety of session formats to provide attendees exciting new ways to learn\, engage\, and foster connections. \n\n\n\nThis year’s conference will include a few new session formats – including advocacy-focused trainings\, interactive skill-building workshops\, and deep-dive strategy sessions on Wednesday from 2:00–4:30 P.M. following the closing plenary. Please plan your travel accordingly if you wish to attend. These sessions are designed to meet the moment and help attendees develop their advocacy muscles\, preparing them to take action upon returning to their home communities.
