SUMMARY:Value Aligned Collaborative Supervision through Appreciative Inquiry (virtual event\, membership-only)
DESCRIPTION:What: This Appreciative Inquiry Based model developed by Quantum Possibilities positions both supervisor and supervisee as knowers as it outlines a pathway for both to co-create a shared vision of success and co-design a plan to bring that vision into reality. Appreciative Inquiry is an inspiring\, growth-promoting\, and transformational philosophical and practical approach to frame\, take inventory\, envision\, plan\, and pursue meaningful change by building on past moments of joy\, connection\, and success. Understanding that change begins at the point of asking a question\, this model teaches supervisors to ask strategic questions that build meaningful relationships and catalyze connection to the work. A shared commitment to excellence that becomes foundational to building actionable plans focused on what matters most in the direction of fulfilling the organization’s mission.Who: This training is for staff at all levels across the Coalition’s membership: advocates\, managers\, directors\, volunteers\, but may be particulary relevant for those in formal leadership roles or those who want to be in formal leadership roles. \n\n\n\nThis training is free for Coalition-members only. SUMMARY:KAPWA: FOR OUR FUTURES
DESCRIPTION:API CHAYA 29th Annual Vigil \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAPI Chaya invites you to our 29th annual vigil\, Kapwa: For Our Futures on March 7th\, 2024 3pm-5pm atthe King County Courthouse Presiding Courtroom on the 9th floor.Every year\, API Chaya hosts a vigil to honor lives ended by domestic and sexual violence. This vigilhonors the lives of Susana Remerata Blackwell and her unborn baby Kristine\, and her friends PhoebeOrbiso Dizon and Veronica Laureta Johnson. All three were murdered by Susana’s abusive husband onMarch 2nd\, 1995 at the courthouse. Leading up to their deaths\, Phoebe and Veronica supported Susana inseeking services and care to keep her safe from the harm she was surviving. \n\n\n\nThis year the tagline of our vigil is\, “For Our Futures”. This theme uplifts the past legacies of ensuring safe\, thriving and empowered futures for our survivor communities. It also asks us to be in close alignment with our imaginations to consider what is possible now. For Our Futures invites us to ask ourselves\, “How do we belong to our future?”\, “How does API Chaya contribute to the future ofsurvivors?”\, “What do you envision for the future of our anti-violence movement?” We hope you can join us as we continue to shape our futures together. Please refer to the full program flier for program details.
