SUMMARY:DVCHAP Quarterly Training 2025
DESCRIPTION:This virtual training is for gender-based violence community-based advocates who intend to submit referrals in the DVCHAP system for housing placement. This training is required once annually for DVCHAP members who intend to submit referrals for DVCHAP housing resources. \n\n\n\nThe Domestic Violence Coordinated Housing Access Point (DVCHAP) system is a DV-specific housing resource system parallel to King County’s Coordinated Entry for All. This training will provide DVCHAP historical context and background\, discuss the DVCHAP assessment in-depth\, and will include time for questions and feedback.

DESCRIPTION:Law and Ethics: A Basic Guide to Disclosure and Informed Consent in Clinical Practice\n\n\n\n\n\nA well-administered Disclosure Statement\, also called Informed Consent\, can be the single most important risk management tool you have at your disposal. This webinar is designed to help you maximize its use. \n\n\n\nIn this two-hour presentation\, Frances Schopick\, JD\, MSW\, will explain the basics of best practices for the Disclosure Statement: What does a Disclosure Statement need to include by law? Can you tailor it to your practice? Are there things you should avoid in a Disclosure? What about when the client is a child\, family\, or couple? Or if there’s DV or “high conflict”? \n\n\n\nObjectives: \n\n\n\n\nAttendees will understand the purpose of the Disclosure Statement and Informed Consent.\n\n\n\nAttendees will be able to explain why it is important to know who the client is.\n\n\n\nAttendees will be able to name at least three things a Disclosure Statement should include.\n\n\n\n\nEarn 2 Ethics CEUs from Washington State Society for Clinical Social Work. For questions and accommodation requests\, contact Nykki@endgv.org
