DESCRIPTION:There will be two opportunities to join with different training dates & times\, but both will cover the same material!TUESDAY APRIL 9th from 9:30am – 12:00pm&THURSDAY APRIL 11th from 12:00pm – 2:30pm \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe DV Housing & Homelessness Resources Training is for GBV advocates who would like a refresher or a deeper understanding of the local housing & homelessness programs– particularly advocates who intend to submit referrals in the DVCHAP system for housing placement\, and will discuss the following topics: \n\n\n\n(1) An overview of general housing and homelessness resources such as: shelters\, transitional housing\, rapid rehousing\, vouchers\, low-income housing. \n\n\n\n(2) The Domestic Violence Coordinated Housing Access Point (DVCHAP) system\, the current process of referring survivors to DVCHAP\, and its limitations. \n\n\n\n(3) Will wrap up with engaging attendees in referral discernment: what resource(s) are best for a survivor in the moment\, who all can be prioritized sooner\, and how to communicate the limited amount of housing resources. ASL interpreters available.For questions and additional accommodation requests contact jenn@endgv.org

The room was packed and the vibe was festive\, joyful\, and connecting.
