 The YWCA of Seattle-King-Snohomish County’s DV Community Advocate provides services to adult women experiencing domestic violence.  Providing advocacy based counseling, safety planning, as well as domestic violence education, community resources, information and referrals.  Children’s Domestic Violence Services provides advocacy based counseling for children and parents during a series of ten weekly, in-home sessions.  YWCA DV programs are designed to meet the needs of survivors of domestic violence in the Seattle, and the South King County area.  This position has a social justice component that requires critical thinking through the lens of racism and intersections with poverty. Knowing the core principals of antiracism and grounding those principles in everyday work are required job skills and core values.
