The Salvation Army in Seattle is seeking a full time Domestic Violence Community Advocate. Please see job description at http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/npo/6259883369.html

The DV Community Advocate works in Seattle with adult DV survivors on an empowerment model to provide safety planning, crisis response, emotional support, and case management services. Services to be provided by this position will focus particularly in assisting homeless survivor households to become rapidly re-housed in private rented accommodation with financial assistance and supportive services to promote long term housing stability. Given this, the advocate will at times provide “mobile advocacy” services by driving to meet with and/or accompany clients to various locations throughout Seattle and King County. Driving in the employee’s own vehicle is required with mileage and parking costs reimbursed.

Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter to ciara.murphy@usw.salvationarmy.org
